PPVC projects in Singapore involve several separate regimes that are often confused. Each has its own issuing body, scope and evidence. We help you identify which apply to your package, and we never treat one as a substitute for another.

  • BCA structural plan approval – project-specific structural plans submitted by the appointed QP
  • BCA In-Principle Acceptance (IPA) – acceptance of a PPVC system under the Building Innovation Panel

What is PPVC?

Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction is a method where free-standing 3D modules, with finishes, fixtures and fittings largely completed, are manufactured off-site and then installed on site.

Do you manufacture PPVC modules?

No. PE Consultants provides engineering services. We work alongside PPVC manufacturers and contractors.

Can you design lifting frames for overseas PPVC manufacturers supplying Singapore projects?

Yes. We support manufacturers in Malaysia, China and elsewhere with lifting frame, lifting point and transport engineering for Singapore projects.

Does engineering endorsement of a lifting frame replace the statutory lifting gear examination?

No. Our engineering design and test witnessing role is separate from statutory examination and certification of lifting equipment by an Authorised Examiner.

Can you guarantee BCA approval?

No consultant can. We prepare complete, well-coordinated submissions and respond to authority comments to minimise delay.
